Apostle Arnita DeShields was licensed as a Minister on February 15, 2004, by Bishop David G. Evans of Bethany Baptist Church in Lindenwold, NJ, where she served as an Associate Minister, and was presented with the Excellence in Service Award. She has preached and taught for both adults and youth at churches, conferences, retreats and seminary. On April 22, 2017, she received an Apostolic Ordination by Apostle Doctor Christian Harfouche and Apostle Doctor Robin Harfouche, leaders of the Miracle Faith Apostolic Global Church in Pensacola Florida. She is grateful for awesome leaders who have covered and mentored her in ministry.
Arnita is currently enjoying her role as Community Outreach Liaison for a hospice organization and an Educator for youth. She is the Founder of Butterfly Empowerment Services Transform (B.E.S.T.) – services for abused women and their children. In addition, she founded I'm Free Ministries, a transitional home for abused women and their children with a mentorship program for youth who witnessed domestic violence. She also has a health and wellness business called Tava Lifestyle which consist of healthy products that are changing people's lives for the better and is an Associate for Legal Shield. Apostle DeShields is the Founder and CEO of Go2Prayer Ministries and Go2Prayer Collection, which are products that encourages people to pray without ceasing and share Jesus Christ. She is the host of Go2Prayer TV ministry and Founder of Go2Prayer Radio. In the past she also was the host of New Beginnings Prayer Outreach Radio and TV Ministry and the host of Battle for Life TV Ministry.
During the pandemic Apostle DeShields founded the National Day of Mourning in memory of those who passed away from Covid and to support those who are still here, Hope & Healing Greeting Cards and Gift Cards for those who are in the hospitals fighting Covid. Over the past 4 years, Arnita has served as a board member (Director of Public Relations) for Broken Wings Literacy Center; a non-profit organization that focuses on supporting people of all ages, in every area of their life. She has received many distinguished awards and honors for community service and career achievements.
She is a 1999 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Practice, where she received a Masters of Social Work, and a 1990 graduate of Villanova University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts & Sciences; her major was Communications. She is presently attending International Miracle Institute for a Doctorate in Christian Theology.
Arnita was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. She is the proud mother of her son, Joseph Emmanuel who is a Sophomore in college. Apostle DeShields is so grateful for her loving parents, Mary Elizabeth DeShields (95) and the late Ranzo DeShields. She is blessed to be the youngest of ten siblings, and loves both her family and friends dearly, who also call her "Lady" (her late Grandmother's name is Lady Lee Oden). She enjoys writing, sharing her gift of spoken word and poetic singing, sacred dancing, enjoys reading and more. Arnita is an international Author of the book "Watch God Move", Columnist for SCOOP USA and feature writer for magazines. Her life scriptures are Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, and Luke 1:37 - For with God nothing shall be impossible!
